Description:
The latest generation of
ultra-high speed OPAMP's can handle the entire RF front end
and IF signal chains of modern HF communications receivers
in all but the most demanding applications. The advantages
of the OPAMP approach are: Small size, low power, gain set
by two resistors, moderately low noise, very low distortion,
short circuit protection and naturally - very fast design
time. With Gain-Bandwidth Products exceeding 1 GHz in some
cases these monolithic OPAMP's can produce gains up to 20 dB
and signal bandwidths of 30 MHz or more all while driving 50
ohm loads. We have years of experience in working with these
OPAMP's and are always keeping up on the latest
developments.
- Signal Processing of RF
and IF frequencies to 30 MHz.
- Fast design cycle
time.
- Noise figure below 10 dB
in DC coupled, 50 Ohm systems.
- True DC coupled 50 ohm
gain blocks.
- 50 Ohm output drive
capability with a large signal swing of 5 to 6 volts
peak-peak.
- Very high second and
third order intercept points (60 and 40 dBm
respectively), even when driving 50 ohm loads.
- Superior differential
gain and phase for video amplifier applications.
- Superior gain stability
(gain set by external resistors).
- Very high reverse
isolation (S12).
- Single ended to
differential conversion easily done for modern
communications A/D converters.
- Single or dual supply,
moderately low power operation.
- Very small
implementation size possible.
