This is a software only
product that turns any high performance spectrum analyzer
into a calibrated phase noise test system. Using careful
analysis and actual measurement of the selected analyzers IF
filters actual noise power response, very accurate phase
noise analyses many be preformed. The advantage of this
system is that it makes a high performance spectrum analyzer
even more useful by giving it another 'job'. The
disadvantage is that it is limited to how low a noise level
it can measure due to the spectrum analyzers LO phase noise,
but for 99% of all applications it is sufficient.
