Description:

750 - 3000 MHz RF source subassembly. The design consists of: Fractional N PLL, discrete VCO, Dividers, RF harmonic filters, precision AGC leveling loop, and output amplifiers. The 6 layer PCB was designed with Coplanar waveguide over groundplane and Stripline techniques for very low sensitivity to manufacturing tolerances and very low assembly costs.

  • 750 MHz to 3.0 GHz RF Source
  • Low phase noise: -110 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset
  • Fractional N PLL design with <1 Hz resolution
  • 14 dBm output power
  • Precision AGC with < 0.25 dB output power drift over 0 to 60 Deg C temperature range
  • Switched harmonic filters
  • Self contained calibration DAC's and power supplies
  • Three wire serial system interface
  • Environmentally rugged design, -40 to 70 Deg C operating range
  • Full test software with GUI was written to allow board turn on and independent testing
